Do you work at, or know of, a school or children’s/youth group that would like to exchange letters with the children at our school and/or work on joint projects? If so, please get in contact with us.

Christ’s Victory Centre is a mixed nursery and primary school located in the Githurai area of Nairobi run by a registered Community Based Organisation. We have 280 students aged between 3 and 20. In Kenya children normally leave primary school at age 13/14, but some of ours are older as they have missed out on education and are catching up. Around 60% are refugees, the majority from DR Congo and South Sudan, and the rest are Kenyan, mostly from poorer families.

Linking with us is a great way for children to make new friends and learn about different countries and cultures, the reality of life in Kenya, and the additional challenges faced by refugees. As our name suggests, the school runs on Christian principles but we accept children whatever their religious beliefs and are happy to link with schools/groups from any or no religion. As we do not have computers at school, we would prefer to exchange letters by post.

We are not expecting schools/groups to fundraise for us (although they can if they want to) but as a school with very limited resources we do request help with the cost of postage.

Please share this with anyone you know who may be interested!
